About Us

David and Kendra Waldram

Living History is owned and operated by Kendra and David Waldram.  Their story together began when they fell in love as students at Chapman University, California.  They currently reside in Orange County and have two beautiful girls.  Kendra and David were always close to their grandparents.

Kendra recounts “some of my favorite memories were of visiting my grandparents while in college.  Grandma would prepare pancakes while Grandpa would tell stories from his life.”  David, who grew up close to his own grandparents, remembers playing chess with his Grandpa as a boy.  “It was a special time listening to Papa’s stories… he always won at chess, but I didn’t mind at all. Spending time learning and listening was always worth it.”  Sadly enough, both of their stories end much the same way.  “He was my role model,” recalled Kendra. “It is strange how years after his passing the memories remained, but the details faded away.”

David, who studied film and television production at Chapman University, explained “after some time it was difficult to even remember the sound of his voice.  I wished that I would have thought to document those stories I grew up hearing time and time again.  Papa was a great man and he deserved to be remembered… I didn’t even think about it before it was too late.”

As an award winning filmmaker, David is committed to helping families create Living Histories for their loved ones.  “I know it takes time, but don’t put this off… it is worth taking the time to document the lives of the people who matter most to you.” He knows that not everyone enjoys being in front of a camera, but often he is complimented on his ability to make folks feel comfortable during their interviews.

When asked why people should purchase Living Histories, Kendra explains “I would hope that everyone makes it a priority to document their grandparent’s life story.  If you do not have the time or know where to start, we are here for you because every grandma and grandpa is worth remembering.  Please don’t put this off.”
